The History of Holly Hedge Farm:
Beloved naturalist, illustrator and author Tasha Tudor or her contemporary Beatrix Potter would have loved all the touches here! The children in the neighborhood call it this the “Secret Garden House”! The original homestead address was “Rural Route One, Gresham” and although the surrounding Marpool Ridge community came later, this is where it all began. The home was one of the first registered with the department of tobacco and firearms for wine making and distribution from the vineyards that surround the house. The original owners donated land to the city of Gresham that is now a city park that can be viewed from the back deck - the current duck pond next to park was where all of the homestead cattle drank their water.
No pesticides of any kind of ever been used here at Holly Hedges Farm - the fabulous intact 100% organic, pesticide-free garden is complete with healthy producing trees and vines, raised beds for veggies and cutting flowers – just add a sunflower arch or tent for fun! Implements and tools included for turn-key urban farming.
